Wine critic Robert Parker shot to fame in the early 1980s. It was said that within seconds of tasting a vintage he could identify a wine the public would love. He was not out to pay homage to tradition.

Vic Peterson was educated at Kenyon College, the University of Texas, and the University of Chicago. His poetry, essays and reviews have appeared in a variety of publications including, recently, William Baer's anthology Rhyming Poems and Light: A Quarterly of Light Verse. He lives in eastern Kansas.
