We would like to correct a mistake that appeared
in an earlier version of this list. It seems that due to what might
optimistically be termed an editorial error, an arrow aimed at Robin
Robertson (who has
issued “versions” of Tranströmer), mistakenly found Robin Fulton, a
respected translator from the Swedish. It is Robertson we had in mind.
Fulton is a widely respected and gifted translator who happens to share a
first name with Robertson. Fulton translated Tranströmer’s poems for The
Great Enigma: New Collected Poems, published by New Directions in
2003. You may purchase it from Amazon by going here,
and we heartily urge you to do so, as it is a superb translation.
